Yay for nice weather

It is finally better weather after all the rain and cold last week, so Ellie and I have been hitting up the local parks. One thing that is really nice about Coppell is all the parks. Yesterday we went to one called Kid Country. It is a huge wooden park. All we can really do is the swings, but Ellie has a great time and we even brought Charlie along because the bug man had come earlier that day and said she couldn't hang out in the backyard till later. I make Charlie stand under the swing so Ellie can kick her (gently, I promise) as she swings by. Ellie just cracks up. Today, we went to another park that has the padded ground so she could crawl around. She loved climbing the stairs and then we would go down the slide together. Apparently as a grown woman, I go down a slide much faster than when I was a little girl. It kind of did scare me a little. Bert asked if it was a big slide and I had to admit that it wasn't. Oh yeah, we brought bubbles and they were a huge hit with all the kids at the park. They were all chasing them around while Ellie just sat there watching all the chaos. Sorry I don't have any pictures of these adventures, but here are some other pictures taken today after we got home.
We love to stand up so we can see everything better. We have at least one bust per bath time.

This is one of many of my poor parenting skills. My dad called this afternoon and Ellie was super fussy- no idea why, so I just put some Puffs on the ground for her and finished my conversation. This particular incident is right before her bath when I was trying to buy some time, so I laid out some Cheerios and everyone was happy.

So, Bert had an out-of-office tonight and I had to occupy Ellie during the final minutes before bathtime. This is meltdown time usually, so I kind of let Ellie do her thing. Check out her new shoes.

Once again, Ellie helping mom organize the refigerator. P.S. so yeah, these pants aren't really supposed to be capris. We know.

Really thankful for plastic.
