Highlands, NC

We decided last minute to rent a mountain cabin in Highlands, NC for the weekend. It was only about 2 hours from here and even Charlie got to go!

Upon arrival- the view from our back porch.

At breakfast on Saturday. This silly guy was warned not to touch the big cord attached to the air conditioning unit above him.

Mid- hike. Ellie didn't want to miss even one overlook and made us take in every beautiful view. She ran in front of us the whole time. George hung out in the baby bjorn and didn't make a squeak- sweet child. And Will collected acorns and was quite a trooped considering the hike was over 2 hours.

Sticky hands from the fish- ha!

These guys went fishing with Bert at Andy's trout farm in Dillard. Bert went here when he was in middle school and he said it was exactly the same. They LOVED fishing. The had cane poles and worms and caught 4 fish a piece!

Such a great weekend!
