What happened in July

We were on our way to a Rangers game, when this little one was running and bit the dust. This is our 4th busted lip between the two of them, but definitely the worst. It took 3 Popsicles to make everything ok.
Ellie took swim lessons with her friend Delaney. She cried through the whole first week and then the second week, she decided she would like it. Funny kid;)
Over the 4th, Bert and I went to the hill country near San Antonio. It was beautiful. This was the pool at the hotel where we stayed.
My favorite thing we did was go to this little town called Gruene. It was precious, with antique stores and a river that ran through it that people love to float. This is the Gristmill restaurant. It held a cotton gin back in the 20's and the building was turned into a restaurant in the 70's.
This is Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas. They say Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson just stop in from time to time.
Moms will appreciate this... the argument was not over how the cereal bowl will spilled but what the damage looked like. Ellie was certain it looked like an elephant.
We have been spending the majority of our time at a swimming pool we joined. It has 3 pools, a baby pool, a toddler pool and a big kid pool. The toddler pool is 2~3 feet deep and is perfect for my little ones. It also has a walk up dining area where we order corn dogs and grilled cheese.
 It is AWESOME:)
I went on a girls trip to Santa Barbara and LOVED it. I made Bert promise we would move there one day. The weather was amazing!! Alicia, Hayley, Stephanie and I had the best time.
My sweet husband had Diet Dr. Peppers waiting for me in the room- love it!
We went to wineries and shopped and ate delicious food. All around a wonderful trip!
 One of the vineyards
Then we went to Memphis to visit my family at the Farm. We met Theo and Aunt Heather at My Big Backyard- so fun.
 We rode the gator...
 and horses:)
We had to buy some new cowboy boots to take with us when we...
MOVE to Atlanta in a few weeks.
We are so sad to leave Texas- our friends, church, neighbors- everything,
but we know we have a great adventure in front of us.
These two stinkers think they can sleep in the same bed together, but end up causing trouble sneaking out of bed and playing.
love them

  1. First of all, I can't believe the move is a few weeks away! Second, I am a little jealous of your pool- I have a feeling I would be there every day! And third, don't you love how much fun they have together? It is hard to be mad at them for not going to bed when they are playing with each other. So cute!
It is Lindsey Slagley by the way, but it keeps saying "anonymous."

  2. You did so much in July! I wish I could have visited with you more while you were here, but I got quarantined. What a fun month for you! Love the pic of Ellie and Will in the same bed - Theodore sneaks in Buck's all the time - however Buck usually does not want the company, lol. Hope your move goes smoothly and can't wait till your next visit, maybe there will be a new little girl here for you to meet!
