The 4th

So we went here for the 4th...Lakeway Resort and Spa on Lake Travis. This was a great family- friendly resort and we had so much fun watching all the boats.

We spent most of our time here...
the swimming pool. It had fun fountains and a gradual incline area so both the kids loved playing in the water... all morning, afternoon, after dinner- whew!~

The next day we went here... Zilker Park in Austin. This is Barton Spring and you can swim in it. We just dipped our toes, but it was beautiful.

HEY CUPCAKE!! num num!! I had the snowcap- chocolate cake with buttercream icing and 4th of July sprinkles- makes me smile just thinking about it:)

We had so much fun this past weekend. It was a nice little vacation with just the 4 of us. The kids did alright sleeping, but I was glad to be back and everyone to their respective rooms;) We completely pooped Ellie out and skipped her naps while we were there. She was walking around deliriously acting goofy, but we had lots of fun things to do. Will just napped here and there and was such a trooper everywhere we went. He found a beautiful lady friend at the pool and kept crawling up to her lounge chair flirting with her. Yikes;)
