Ellie thought it was really nice of everyone to have a big "to do" over her 15 month birthday on the 4th. She said the fireworks were beautiful, but the parade was a little over the top. Just kidding:) On Friday morning, Bert, Ellie and I went to the pool and had so much fun. As you can see from a previous post, there is a water slide coming off of the kiddie play area. Well, I had asked before if Ellie and I could go down it because she is obsessed with it, and they told me "no". I guess they thought we might get stuck or something. Well, we asked again on Friday and they said "yes". Bert and Ellie came flying down this slide and were engulfed with water and all the parents standing around were totally shocked that two responsible adults would think this was a good idea. I am sure they were comforted looking at me, knowing that these two idiots are about to bring another child into this world:) Friday night, we had some friends over and grilled out burgers and we could see the fireworks that the city puts on from our backyard. On Saturday, the Spirit of Coppell Parade takes place. We were babysitting Cara, one of Ellie's friends (and ours), so we loaded up our new double stroller and took it out for a test drive at the parade. It was only 102 F on Saturday, so Cara and I stayed in the shade while Bert and Ellie got a closer look at the parade.
A little news about baby #2. The last ultrasound showed that the placenta had moved up (it was low on the 20 week ultrasound, and they needed it to move up so that it wouldn't be in the way when the baby is being delivered)- so that is good. I had some funneling on my cervix, but am not dilated yet, so no worries there. They do this test called Fetal Fibronectin to see if a protein is present that indicates if I am going to have the baby in the next two weeks. I have had this test done twice now, and it came back negative both times- so Yay! This past appointment, I was measuring small, which I did also with Ellie. They scheduled me for another ultrasound next week to make sure the placenta is working properly and that there is sufficient amniotic fluid. I think that this baby (and Ellie) just hang out, literally, on my right hip, so that messes up the measuring a bit, but I will keep you posted. Other than that, everything is going well. Ellie has no clue that there is a baby in there- I think she is just a little afraid of Mommy's big belly:)

Looks like you all had a great time, So cute that Ellie got to try out the stroller with her friend. I am so glad that number two is doing great, we cannot wait to meet him/her!!! You are a trooper,
