We went to Las Vegas over Memorial Day with the Beans. Ellie did as well as a 1 year old can do on the airplane ride- all 3 hours, each way. She refuses to sleep and likes to talk to the other people on the plane. We carb overload her on the ride, shoving puffs, baby goldfish, mini nilla wafers, and mini Teddy Grahams the whole time to keep her quiet. She pretends to fall asleep and then jumps up, like she is saying "Gotcha!". We got there on Friday and she adjusted to the time change great. She liked the pool and our hotel had a lion exhibit that was really cool, well, maybe I thought it was cool. I am not sure if Ellie even paid them any attention. There was a Rainforest Cafe in our hotel also. I thought this would be a good idea, but the moving and talking animals kind of freaked her out and she wouldn't take her eyes off of them. Bert and I went out both nights, once to dinner and once for dessert, while Mrs. Bean stayed back with Ellie - so nice!! On a side note: Vegas is unlike anyplace I have ever seen. Girls of all ages in 4 inch heels and tiny, tiny, tiny string bikinis - all day and night. And I don't mean at the pool, I mean walking around the hotel and casino. I could not have looked more out of place- 7 months pregnant and toting a kiddo around. All kidding aside, the weekend went really well and we had alot of fun.
This is Ellie attempting to fit in with the Vegas lifestyle- Pole dancing at the pool. She needs a little more practice with her dismount, but besides that, I think she is a natural:) This was about 8:30 a.m.- which explains the lack of people at the pool.

It looks like you all had so much fun! You are hysterical - I love Ellie by the pool and the pole. I bet you are glad to be home, you have been on the go all of May! I hope you are feeling great.
